Youth driver program

Based on the successful Austdrive program, Adelaide Car Club are working with Australian Driving Institute with the support of local council and SA Government to deliver a youth driver program during the Term 3-4 school holidays exclusively to children of Adelaide Car Club members

The course focuses on practical driver awareness, resulting in a true perspective; not the one their peers have given them. It is our core belief that prevention is better than cure, especially when lives are at risk.

This practical program is conducted on public roads in student’s own vehicle (so they have familiarity and understanding of the cars they are driving).  This is not an “advanced driving course” – these have been found to be counter productive, especially for young drivers. Instead Austdrive makes all driving exercises relevant to both metropolitan traffic and rural environments.
